One wounded by police during Indonesia riot
At least one person has reportedly been wounded after Indonesian police opened fire on a riot on Sumbawa island.
Police and media reports say the trouble was sparked by the death of a university student in police headquarters.
Hundreds of people in the town of Sumbawa Besar stormed a police station and set it ablaze, accusing police of responsibility for the death of 22-year-old Mustakim.
Elshinta radio reports one person was injured when police opened fire to ward off the crowd.
A provincial police spokesman, Muhammad Basri, could not immediately confirm the shooting, but says 400 to 500 policemen were deployed to pacify the mob.
